January 23, 1978 Page 4 <br />the comprehensive land use level is neighborhood business, B -1 and that there is <br />residential property on three sides and a park to the north and thus did not <br />recommend that the gas pumps be put in. <br />MSP (Pickar - Ziebarth) to table the hearing until February 13, 1978 at 9:30 PM. 5 ayes <br />Mayor Pickar recessed the hearing and opened the public hearing for the rezoning. <br />REZONING OF SOUTHWEST CORNER OF COUNTY ROAD I AND SILVER LAKE ROAD - DUPLEX DEVELOPMENT <br />George Payne, 2740 Laport Drive stated that he would like the land rezoned from R -1 <br />to R -2, from single family to two - family, to allow him to build a two family home <br />with a single family home look. <br />Mayor Pickar asked if the. area had been subdivided. <br />Mrs. Kramer introduced herself as a joint property owner with Mr. Fox and stated that <br />the property had been subdivided. <br />Jerry Foss stated that lot two had been subdivided and the corner lot was subdivided <br />at a later date. <br />Larry Fox stated that he had a legal description of the property that he had received <br />from Ramsey County, which stated that it was subdivided. <br />Mayor Pickar stated that the City must have proof of the subdivision before anything <br />could be approved. He also stated that a public hearing was set for February 13, 1978 <br />on putting in the services for the area and that the plan could be approved tonight, <br />contingent upon the services being put in. <br />Jim Celt stated that he owned the east half of lot four and that he would also like <br />to have his lot rezoned to R -4.
