CONSENT AGENDA <br />May 22, 1978 <br />The consent agenda is a technique designed to expedite handling of <br />routine and miscellaneous official business of the City Council. The <br />entire agenda may be adopted by the Council in one motion. The motion <br />for adoption is non - debatable and must receive unanimous approval. By <br />request of any individual Council member, any item can be removed from <br />the consent agenda and placed upon the regular agenda for debate. <br />ITEM A. Appoint Sharon Ackermann, clerk - typist, a regular full -time <br />employee effective May 14, 1978, at an hourly rate of $3.95. <br />ITEM B. Appoint Chester Glisan as a member of the Storm Sewer Advisory <br />Task Force. <br />ITEM C. Appoint Stephen Johnson as a summer laborer effective May 30, <br />1978, at an hourly rate of $3.25. <br />ITEM D. Adopt Ordinance No. 278 amending the Municipal Code by revising <br />Chapter 23 "Park and Playground Fund ". This is a corrective <br />ordinance to reference the proper section of Chapter 42 <br />regarding park dedications at the time of subdivision. <br />ITEM E. Adopt Resolution No. 898 requesting the Metropolitan Council <br />HRA to apply for rehabilitation grant funds for the City to <br />participate in Phase III of the Minnesota Housing Finance <br />Agency Home Improvement Grant Program. This is for third year <br />funding of the Program. Mounds View's estimated allocation is <br />$6,414. <br />ITEM F. Receive the April, 1978, activity reports of the police, <br />legal, fire, and nuisance abatement departments. <br />ITEM G. Receive the Engineer's feasibility report on Silver Lake <br />Road utility improvements, Project 1978 -6. Reschedule the <br />public hearing on this project from 8:00 to 7:40 PM on June 12, <br />1978. <br />ITEM H. Receive the Engineer's feasibility report on extension of <br />Edgewood Drive between Hillview Road and County Road I, Project <br />1978 -5. Direct staff to prepare a traffic impact study including <br />existing and projected traffic counts and traffic control <br />alternatives. Authorize expenditure for planning consulting <br />in this regard not to exceed $1,000 which shall be charged to <br />the street improvement project. Reschedule the public hearings <br />on this project and the Mounds View Square Addition preliminary <br />plat from June 12 to June 26 at 7:40 and 7:50 PM respectively. <br />Direct the city engineer to prepare a feasibility report for <br />the drainage improvements in the vicinity of Project 1978 -6. <br />ITEM I. Receive December 31, 1977, financial statement from audit firm <br />George M. Hansen Company. <br />ITEM J. Approve the May 22, 1978, bills for payment. <br />ITEM K.
