Attorney Meyers replied <br />that he had not been notified of any decision yet. <br />Attorney Meyers explained that the Court had wanted a public hearing held again <br />to allow the Stimpsons another opportunity to address the issue. <br />Charlotte Fields, 2255 Lambert asked what the reason was the ordinance was originally <br />passed. Councilmember Ziebarth replied that it was based on the increasing number of <br />complaints the City received on the vehicles. <br />Mr. Wold asked why trucks were allowed to park at the Launching Pad. Mayor Pickar <br />replied that the ordinance was written to cover residential property and the <br />Launching Pad is commercial property. <br />Councilmember Baumgartner pointed out that the ordinance does not prohibit the <br />delivery of furniture or any service -type vehicle. <br />The Mayor asked the Council three times if they wanted to amend, repeal or <br />modify part of Chapter 81 and the Council took no action. <br />Mayor Pickar closed the public hearing and reopened the general meeting. <br />APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA <br />MSP (Rowley - Baumgartner) to approve the consent agenda as follows: 5 ayes <br />ITEM A. Appoint Sharon Ackermann, clerk - typist, a regular full -time <br />employee effective May 14, 1978, at an hburly rate of $3.95. <br />ITEM B. Appoint Chester Glisan as a member of the Storm Sewer Advisory <br />Task Force. <br />ITEM C. Appoint Stephen Johnson as a summer laborer effective May 30, <br />1978, at an hourly rate of $3.25. <br />ITEM D. Adopt Ordinance No. 278 amending the Municipal Code by revising <br />Chapter 23 "Park and Playground Fund ". This is a corrective <br />ordinance to reference the proper section of Chapter 42 <br />regarding park dedications at the time of subdivision. <br />ITEM E. Adopt Resolution No. 898 requesting the Metropolitan Council <br />HRA to apply for rehabilitation grant funds for the City to <br />participate in Phase III of the Minnesota Housing Finance <br />Agency Home Improvement Grant Program. This is for third year <br />funding of the Program. Mounds View's estimated allocation is <br />$6,414. <br />ITEM F. Receive the April, 1978, activity reports of the police, <br />legal, fire, and nuisance abatement departments. <br />ITEM G. Receive the Engineer's feasibility report on Silver Lake <br />Road utility improvements, Project 1978 -6. Reschedule the <br />public hearing on this project from 8:00 to 7:40 PM on June 12, <br />1978. <br />
