May 22, 1978 Page 10 <br />Administrator Achen reported that Steve Rose plans to marry and would like to <br />honeymoon in Europe for about 30 days. He will have accumulated 25 days vacation <br />effective on his anniversary date of June 9th and request Council authorization <br />to carry over the five extra days in order to accrue sufficient time to vacation <br />in January or February. <br />Mayor Pickar asked if there have been similar requests in the past. Administrator <br />Achen replied that there have been such only for sick leave. <br />MSP (Baumgartner - Ziebarth) to allow Building and Zoning Official Rose to carry <br />over five extra days of his vacation. 5 ayes <br />ATTORNEY MEYERS' REPORT <br />Attorney Meyers had no report. <br />ENGINEER HUBBARD'S REPORT <br />Engineer Hubbard had no report. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HODGES' REPORT <br />Councilmember Hodges had no report. <br />COUNCILMEMBER BAUMGARTNER'S REPORT <br />Councilmember Baumgartner reported that people had been interviewed on May 15 <br />for the Planning Commission vacancy. <br />MSP (Baumgartner- Hodges) to appoint Dennis Quan to fill the vacancy on the Planning <br />Commission through 1979. 5 ayes <br />COUNCILMEMBER ROWLEY'S REPORT <br />Councilmember Rowley reported that she had spoken to members of Playground, Inc. <br />and will be meeting on May 25 to discuss the park. Councilmember Rowley presented <br />a draft of a resolution to the Council which she stated she would be presenting to <br />the Park Commission and Spring Lake Park. She added that Playground Inc. would be <br />asked to attend the first meeting in June. <br />COUNCILMEMBER ZIEBARTH'S REPORT <br />Councilmember Ziebarth reported that the May 25 Park Commission meeting had been <br />changed to June 1 at 6:30 PM and the June 22 meeting to June 29, at 6:30 PM, due to <br />a number of conflicts with other meetings and vacations. <br />MAYOR PICKAR'S REPORT <br />MSP (Pickar-Ziebarth) to accept the resignation of Duane McCarty from the Task <br />Force. <br />5 ayes <br />
