September 25, 1978 Page 7 <br />ADMINISTRATOR ACHEN'S REPORT <br />Administrator Achen reported that the Council would be meeting for a budget work <br />session after the Council meeting was adjourned. <br />ATTORNEY MEYERS' REPORT <br />Attorney Meyers reported that a hearing had been held on Mounds View Square's motion <br />for a new trial and that the judge had denied the motion. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HODGES' REPORT <br />Councilmember Hodges had no report. <br />COUNCILMEMBER BAUMGARTNER'S REPORT <br />Councilmember Baumgartner reported that the Planning Commission would be meeting on <br />September 27 at 7:30. <br />Councilmember Baumgartner stated that two meetings earlier, Neil Loeding had given <br />him information concerning Council action from 1972 regarding improving services <br />and storm sewer for the City. Councilmember Baumgartner stated that after reviewing <br />the information and minutes Mr. Loeding had given him, he felt Mr. Loeding's statements <br />could not be substantiated. He added that one of the reports Mr. Loeding had given <br />him dealt with Ramsey Countys open space program and did not deal with storm water <br />problems at all. Councilmember Ziebarth agreed that the Task Force interpretation <br />of this information seems erroneous. <br />MSP (Baumgartner - Ziebarth) that the Comstock and Davis report of June 5, 1972, <br />regarding open space within the village which could be made available for the <br />Ramsey County open space program be made part of the minutes, <br />5 ayes <br />COUNCILMEMBER ROWLEY'S REPORT <br />Councilmember Rowley reported that the Ramsey County League meeting was scheduled for <br />September 27, to deal with open space, and that she would try to attend. <br />COUNCILMEMBER ZIEBARTH'S REPORT <br />Councilmember Ziebarth stated that the Park and Recreation department would be meeting <br />at 6:30 on September 28. <br />MAYOR PICKAR'S REPORT <br />Mayor Pickar reported that he had received a letter from Tom Foster of Roto Rooter <br />regarding dredging the man made lake. <br />Administrator Achen reported that Staff is checking into draining the lake and that <br />Roto Rooter is indefinite about the quantity to come out of the lake. <br />
