CONSENT AGENDA <br />April 23, 1979 <br />The consent agenda is a technique designed to expedite handling of <br />routine and miscellaneous official business of the City Council. The <br />entire agenda may be adopted by the Council in one motion. The motion <br />for adoption is non - debatable and must receive unamimous approval. By <br />request of any individual Council Member, any item can be removed from <br />the consent agenda and placed upon the regular agenda for debate. <br />ITEM A. Approve the assignment of Securities in Lieu of Bond by <br />Public Depositories substituting $300,000.00 U.S. Treasury <br />Notes due 9 -20 -82 for $300,000.00 U.S. Treasury Notes due <br />3- 31 -80. <br />ITEM B. Authorize staff to enter into a service agreement with <br />Clean Sweep for the sweeping of City streets at the low <br />bid of $3,395.00. <br />ITEM C. Approve the hiring of Mr. Mark Will at the rate of $3.50 /hour <br />effective 4 -24 -79 as a part -time Public Works laborer. <br />ITEM D. Approve the license of Midwest Rides Inc. to operate a <br />carnival at the Mounds View Square Shopping Center from <br />May 15 - May 20, 1979. <br />ITEM E. Accept the petition dated 4 -19 -79 requesting the removal of <br />the stop sign at Hillview Road and Greenfield Avenue. <br />ITEM F. Approve the hiring of Mrs. Connie Langager at the rate of <br />$40.00 /meeting effective 4 -23 -79 as a Clerk Stenographer <br />for the City Council and Planning Commission meetings. <br />ITEM G. Accept the March 1979, activity reports from the Public Works, <br />--Parks, Recreation and Forestry,-Building and Zoning, Police <br />and Nuisance Abatement and Fire Departments. <br />ITEM H. Approve the April 23, 1979, bills for payment: <br />expenditures - $95,945.30; payroll account - $10,410.67. <br />ITEM I. Approve the following licenses: <br />Du All - new - general contract, expires 6 -30 -79 <br />Houser Inc. - new - sewer & water <br />
