PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY,' MINNESOTA <br />A regular meeting of the Mounds View City Council was called to order by Mayor McCarty <br />at 7:35 p.m. on May 29, 1979, at the Mounds View City Hall, 2401 Highway 10, <br />Mounds View, MN 55112. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Mayor McCarty <br />Councilmember Forslund <br />Councilmember Hodges <br />Councilmember Rowley <br />Councilmember Ziebarth <br />ALSO PRESENT <br />Acting Administrator Anderson <br />. Attorney Meyers <br />MSP (McCarty /Hodges) to approve the May 14, 1979, minutes as corrected. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS AND REQUESTS <br />Dave Notaro, 2749 Ardan Avenue, asked what is the status of the storm drainage problem. <br />Mayor McCarty indicated the City is moving ahead on a policy and that he had a report <br />available to the Council and he would make it available to Mr. Notaro. <br />5 ayes <br />Margaret Kremer, 7663 Groveland, questioned if there was an ordinance on shrubs at <br />intersections. She indicated there were lilac bushes on the west side of the inter- <br />section at Groveland and County Road I that obstructed motorists' vision. Council- <br />member Rowley indicated the matter had come up previously and it was found to be <br />private property; the City would have to request the citizen trim the bushes. <br />James Trapp, 8018 Sunnyside Road, stated the need for traffic control for the cross- <br />walk on Sherwood and Sunnyside Road to protect school children. Mayor McCarty <br />indicated the matter would be referred to the Police Dept. and Staff would get back <br />to Mr. Trapp. <br />APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA <br />Mayor McCarty asked that Items C, F, G and H 'De removed from the agenda. <br />MSP (McCarty /Hodges) to approve the Consent Agenda as follows: <br />ITEM A. Authorize the purchase of two signs and posts stating <br />"Deaf Child Area" for the 8000 block of Woodlawn Drive at <br />a cost of $81 to be charged to Contingency. <br />ITEM B. Authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to enter into <br />an agreement between the City of Mounds View and the City <br />of Fridley for the purpose of permitting certain residents <br />in the City of Mounds View to connect onto the City of <br />Fridley's municipal water system. <br />ITEM. C. Approve the transfer of $650 from the City Forestry Account, <br />#275 -450 -4020, to the Recreation Account, #100- 350 -4160. <br />ITEM D. Approve the payment to H. V. Johnston Culvert Company for <br />$120. for the safety cover on the culvert on Ridge Lane out <br />of the City Contingency Fund. <br />5 ayes <br />
