MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting <br />Page 3 July 9, 1979 <br />Ziebarth made the motion, seconded by <br />Forslund to pay the $50,330.23 of out- <br />standing debts by transferring funds <br />from the Improvement Revolving Fund. <br />The Improvement Revolving Fund will be <br />replenished at a rate of 8% interest. <br />Staff should contact a bonding agent and <br />get assurance that we can get a bond for <br />this amount in the event of an appeal. <br />4 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Ziebarth made the motion, seconded by Hodges <br />to accept the resignation of Jerry Foss from <br />the Planning Commission. <br />4 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Ziebarth commended Mr. Foss for his many <br />years of service and expressed appreciation <br />for his contributions. <br />McCarty made a motion, seconded by Hodges <br />to appoint Peg Mountin to Planning Commi- <br />ssion to serve the remainder of Jerry Foss' <br />term, and to advertise the position of ex <br />officio member. <br />4 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Forsiund's Report: She suggested the main- <br />tenance people be around to show the equip- <br />ment the day of the Festival in the Park. <br />Hodges' Report: Questioned how Council- <br />members can be informed of a disposition <br />of a citizen concern. City Administrator <br />suggested Councilmembers keep a copy of <br />the request to follow-up if disposition <br />is not known. <br />Ziebarth's Report: 1) Suggested there be <br />a central 'drop box" for information that <br />might be of interest to other Councilmembers. <br />2) Invited citizens to the Festival in the <br />Park on July 15. <br />McCarty's Report: No report, but wished <br />to thank Ziebarth for all his efforts on <br />the Festival in the Park. <br />Meyers' Report: No report, but advised he <br />will be absent at the next meeting. <br />6B.
