MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting <br />Page 3 August 13, 1979 <br />Hodges made the motion, seconded by Forslund <br />to hold a public hearing September 10 at 7:40 PM <br />for the vacation of Mustang Rd. west of existing <br />Mustang Lane and proposed Mustang Circle. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Application was tabled at 7/23/79 meeting so <br />Council could formulate a tiiie -line as to when <br />they could address the issue of how this develop- <br />ment will fit into the Comp. Plan for land use. <br />Rose stated the plan for Dist. 2 was never <br />officially adopted in any form. Council advised <br />that developers may go through the application <br />process, but while the Comp. Plan for land use <br />is being updated, there is the possibility of a <br />moratorium on development in certain areas. <br />Applicant should be aware that, at one time, <br />this area was selected for drainage for the <br />City for Dist. 2 and whether they will ever use <br />it or not is the problem for the City. <br />No action is required until a signal comes from <br />the applicant. <br />Rowley requested Staff to have information on <br />wetlands before the next agenda session. <br />6. LARRY CRAMBLIT -- <br />MOTEL- -2160 SERVICE <br />DRIVE (approx.) <br />Citizens were asked to fill outthe "Citizen 7. HIGHWAY 10 UPDATE <br />Comment' sheets, which are attached. <br />Citizens with verbal comments were: <br />R. Hedlund, 8424 Sunnyside <br />Karl & Sharon Croon, 8475 Eastwood Drive <br />John Dies, 8280 Greenwood <br />Sandra Ferris, Blaine <br />Jack Berquist, 8370 Sunnyside <br />Bob Hurley, 8315 Sunnyside <br />Peg Mountin, 8287 Redoak Drive <br />Cindy Wenum, 8028 Redoak Drive <br />A summary of comments is: Citizens are opposed <br />to the north Hwy. 10 relocation route because <br />of pollution- -noise and environmental, resulting <br />depreciation of homes, and Hwy. 10 becoming a <br />main thoroughfare to the airport. Hedlund stated <br />MnDOT advised him the City had not cooperated with <br />them in holding neighborhood meetings. Nelson <br />stated this was not true. MnDOT also stated they <br />,.could make a decision by the first of Sept. These <br />citizens feel they have not been adequately informed. <br />
