MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting <br />Page 6 August 13, 1979 <br />2) City Hall case: Kenneth Walajarve payment <br />to the City of $23,000 - -1f accepted, the City <br />would release with the agreement not to sue. <br />McCarty made the motion, seconded by Hodges <br />that we accept the settlement and authorize <br />the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the <br />release. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />3) City levied an assessment on Northcrest property. <br />The 30 -day appeal time has elapsed and they have <br />waived their appeal. <br />4) James Refrigeration case: they were sueing <br />us, but have dismissed the case "with prejudice <br />and on the merits" without any charges. <br />10. ADMINISTRATOR'S <br />1) Handed out City newsletter REPORTS <br />2) Karlen construction appeal: <br />McCarty made the motion, seconded by Ziebarth <br />that Staff be authorized to re- compute the SDM <br />charge on the Karlen construction project and <br />any overage to this date should be referred. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />3) Passed out material re: a complaint of unfair <br />treatment on a Dutch Elm case. <br />4) Asked Councilmembers to consider attending a <br />League of Cities Conference in November. <br />5) Re: Charter Commission document -- Councilmembers <br />should read the completed draft and respond. <br />Ziebarth made the motion, seconded by Rowley 12.
