Sikorski, 8340 Sunnyside Rd., wanted Council <br />to establish their authority to prevent MnDOT <br />from bulldozing their wishes. Mayor informed him <br />of Robinsonb (MnDOT) statement that they needed <br />resolutions from the cities involved and if they <br />differed, negoations would be necessary. <br />Rachel Bardwell, 2932 Cty. Rd. J, stated the traffic <br />had increased on Cty. Rd. J from 9,000 to 11,000 <br />this year, and is very offensive. <br />J. Nelson, 8303 Red Oak Dr., commented that, at <br />a previous informational meeting, a MnDOT rep. <br />had stated, off the record, that public petitions <br />didn't mean anything -- they'd rather see inputs <br />from City Council, churches and schools. Mayor <br />suggested it be brought up at their next School <br />Board meeting. <br />Rowley made the motion, seconded by Ziebarth, <br />to approve Resolution 1016 with the following <br />changes: <br />1. 7th paragraph should read: NOW, THEREFORE <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the <br />City of Mounds View officially requests <br />that MnDOT delay making its Alternate <br />Choice for 45 days after the information <br />has been received and filed by the City <br />of Mounds View. <br />Paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 below should <br />read "No- Build, Upgraded, and Relocated <br />Alternates ". <br />3. Last paragraph should read: BE IT FURTHER <br />RESOLVED that MnDOT hold informational <br />meetings during the 45 -day period. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Motion was made the Ziebarth, seconded by Rowley <br />to approve the Consent Agenda with removal of <br />Items A, G and H. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Rose explained the property is located at Red Oak <br />and Fairchild. Both lots have minimum frontage <br />and square footage requirements. Buildings meet <br />minimum setback requirements. Services are avail- <br />able and stubbed. Rear lot line is in alignment <br />with other existing rear lot lines. Storm sewer <br />is inadequate for three -year storm at full develop- <br />ment.
