MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting <br />Page 2 September 10, 1979 <br />Because of the development of Mounds View <br />Industrial Park #2, there is no need for a <br />Mustang Rd. extension and cul de sac. <br />Resolution #1021 calls for vacation of <br />Mustang Rd. easement west of Mustang <br />but retains the utility easement. <br />McCarty made the motion, seconded by Forslund, <br />to continue this hearing with final action to <br />be taken on September 13, 1979. <br />4 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Attorney Meyers explained the reason for the <br />continuance is that the hearing should take <br />place 10 days after notification, which occurred <br />on Aug. 30 and Sept. 6, 1979; therefore, it is <br />advisable to hold the hearing after the 10 day <br />period has elapsed. Meyers suggested the <br />property owners be contacted. Nelson stated <br />that 100% of the property owners had been so <br />notified prior to the publication. <br />Mayor McCarty asked if there was comment from <br />the floor. There was none. <br />The Mayor closed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting. <br />Forslund: 1) Asked Nelson if he had reports on <br />the well testing. He explained it was well #4 <br />and reports were not back yet. 2) She stated <br />there had been discrepancies found in the <br />Planning Commission minutes at their last <br />meeting, and a memo was forthcoming from Staff <br />to the Planning Commission. <br />Rowley: 1)Stated there will be a Lakeside Park <br />meeting 9/13 at City Hall 2) Informed Council <br />of a Ramsey County dinner 9/12 3) Read a letter <br />from Ramsey County commending Police Chief Grabowski <br />for his help in the apprehension of bank robbers. <br />Ziebarth: Stated there would be a program on Channel <br />2 on 9/11 at 10:30 PM re: cable TV franchising. <br />Asked Nelson if there were any applicants for the <br />cable TV committee. He replied he had received <br />only one phone call inquiry. <br />McCarty: 1) Asked status of setting up meetings <br />re: Hwy 10. Nelson stated he was communicating <br />with the district engineer re: our concerns with <br />where the process is. Nelson plans to attend <br />a meeting on 9/11 on the subject in the governor's <br />office. 2) Stated there will be a charter research <br />committee meeting 9/11. 3) Asked if there have been <br />more applications for Planning Commission ex official <br />position.
