MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL <br />Page 3 <br />Regular Meeting <br />September 10, 1979 <br />Nelson: 1) Indicated he had received a letter <br />from A.M.M re: a vacancy on the Board of Directors <br />and asked if any Councilmember was interested; <br />there was no interest. 2) Comstock & Davis will <br />attend the Oct. 15 agenda session to talk with <br />Council re: concerned issues. 3) Advised of <br />upcoming conference on Urban Soil Errosion & <br />Sediment Control in St. Paul. Forslund plans <br />to attend and suggested Nelson and Rose attend <br />also. <br />Ziebarth made the motion, seconded by Rowley, <br />that funds previously set aside for the National <br />League of Cities action conference and not used, be <br />made available for the Urban Soil Errosion & <br />Sediment Control conference in St. Paul. <br />4 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Nelson (continued): 4) Advised of meetings <br />scheduled for the purpose of Council reviewing <br />the proposed 1980 budget. Advised that Oct. 8 <br />Council meeting will become Oct. 9 because of <br />holiday. Suggested the public be notified via <br />newspaper of the budget review sessions. <br />Forslund made the motion, seconded by Ziebarth <br />to set up the following meetings for budget review: <br />Thurs., Sept. 13 (7:00 PM) <br />Mon., Sept. 17 It <br />Thurs., Sept. 20 <br />Mon., Sept. 24 <br />Thurs., Sept. 27 <br />Mon., Oct. 1 <br />Tues., Oct. 9 <br />4 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Nelson (continued): 5) Re: Crosswalk for <br />Pinewood School--Public Works feels that with <br />the combination of a patrol and painted cross- <br />walk, this should be sufficient for safety. <br />6) Re: cleaning the ditches--asked if it would <br />be the same amount if done in the winter and <br />found it would be higher, because of need to <br />break up frost. Will get a third opinion. <br />McCarty suggested smaller contractors should <br />be contacted. 8) Re: Complaint from manager <br />of Angie's Pizza House on high rate of 3.2 <br />Beer and Wine License--asked if Council felt <br />the City Attorney should review. <br />McCarty made the motion, seconded by Rowley <br />to ask the appropriate City Staff to re-evaluate <br />the ordinance concerning 3.2 beer. <br />4 ayes <br />0 nays <br />5.
