MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting <br />Page 8 November 13, 1979 <br />Forslund moved, seconded by Rowley, to adopt 8. REPORTS (Continued) <br />Resolution #1049. <br />5 ayes <br />O nays <br />2) McCarty moved, seconded by Forslund, to <br />close City Hall offices at 4:30 PM on <br />November 21. <br />5 ayes <br />O nays <br />3) The Governor's Commission on Aging needs <br />an appointment. Rowley suggested Mary <br />Qualheim be contacted. <br />4) Requested $40 to attend the Mayor's conference. <br />Ziebarth moved, seconded by Hodges, to take <br />$40 from the Contingency Fund to pay for the <br />Mayor's Conference. <br />5 ayes <br />O nays <br />5) Passed information on to Brager re: <br />conferences on neighborhood improvements. <br />6) Need to specify pay for election judges: <br />McCarty moved, seconded by Forslund, to pay <br />rates for judges on the upcoming charter <br />election the same rate as previous elections: <br />$35 per day for judges <br />$45 per day for chairpersons <br />$ 4 per hour for counters <br />$ 6 per training session <br />5 ayes <br />O nays <br />7) Pointed out that minutes of Council meetings <br />should be on the Council Chambers table for the <br />public. Brager assured this will be done. <br />8) Asked status of water tower repairs. Brager <br />will check and get back to Council. <br />9) Asked if a Newsletter will be issued. <br />Anderson replied that a Newsletter will be <br />forthcoming (approximately Dec. 1) and will <br />encourage residents to vote. Rowley suggested <br />residents be reminded not to blow snow into <br />the streets. Ziebarth suggested the Cable TV <br />Commission be publicized, inviting more women <br />to serve. <br />Brager: 1) The sewer main break on Cty. Rd. I <br />has been gravelled in and should be repaired <br />and blacktopped. Funds would most likely come <br />from a loan from the Sewer Utility Fund. <br />
