• MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL <br />Page 3 <br />Bill ----------- <br />Rice, 2932 County Rd. 112, <br />presented a petition with names of <br />residents for street lights on Silver <br />Lake Road between Spring Lake Road & <br />.Knollwood on Co. Road H2. Petition was <br />given to Nelson, whowiii get a cost estimate, <br />and verify procedure according to the policies <br />set earlier. <br />Bruce Anderson reported to Council the <br />steps that have been taken by the Parks <br />& Recreation Commission in negotiating <br />a three-phase contract with Saunders & <br />Thalden Inc. to develop and deliver master <br />park concept plans for nitre individual <br />park sites for the City. <br />Ziebarth moved that the Mayor and Council <br />enter into the contract agreement with <br />Saunders & Thalden, Inc., including the <br />three modifications as outlined in <br />Anderson's memo of 12/7/79, same subject. <br />It was seconded by Rowley. <br />The motion carried. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Anderson introduced Jeff Stottlemeyer, a <br />college student who will be working at no <br />cost to the City on a twelve-week intern- <br />ship (with credit) in the Parks & Recreation <br />Department. <br />Anderson reported on the L.A.W.C.O.N. <br />grant for Phase / of a three-phase program-- <br />development of Silver View Park. The major <br />issue in approval of this grant for this <br />development will impact on park maintenance, <br />justifying the need for a third full-time <br />employee in 1981. <br />Hodges moved to approve the Fhase I of <br />L.A.W.C.O.N. grant, the federal portion <br />in the amount of $52,550.
