It was seconded by <br />Ziebarth. <br />The motion carried. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Forslund-- Asked the status of the Cable <br />TV commission--urged the commission to <br />get underway. Nelson stated the letter <br />will be going to the commission for their <br />study by 12/27/79. They will be sworn in, <br />and will establish meeting dates and goals. <br />llowity.-- 1) Will be presenting Mounds <br />View's position re: airport to a legislative <br />sub-committee later in the week. <br />8. REPORTS OF COUNCIL- <br />MEMBERS/ADMINISTRATOR <br />2) Lakeside Park. meeting tentatively 12/13. <br />Lakeside Committee, Rowley & Linke did not meet <br />with Commissioner Orth last Thursday, but will reschedule. <br />3) Suggested Council prepare a commendation <br />for Teacher of the Year, Cecilia Quaife. <br />4) Suggested Council sit down with Staff <br />to go over the new Charter in order to be ready by <br />the 90-day,period for the ordinance required by chapter <br />8 of the Charter. <br />Rowley moved the agenda meeting begin at <br />6:30 PM, December 17, 1979. It was seconded <br />by Forslund. <br />The motion carried. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Neil Loeding was asked to be present <br />after 7:30 PM, <br />5) Noted that the number one candidate for <br />patrolman was unable to accept the position. <br />Rowley moved that the position of patrolmen <br />be offered to Timothy Patrick Brennan at <br />patrolman's salary, subject to the customary <br />probationary period, beginning <br />1/1/80.
