(continued) <br />Ziebarth raised the issue whether the <br />entire report was worth $1,000 for the <br />report. <br />Machmeier felt that it was a fair price <br />to pay for the time spent on the project. <br />The City approve the authorized $50 an <br />hour for the on -sight inspection. <br />There were no other questions asked by <br />the City Council. <br />Mayor McCarty moved to authorize the <br />Payment of $1,000 for the report received <br />on the 17th of July, 1979. Seconded by <br />Ziebarth. <br />Ziebarth moved to table the issue. It was <br />seconded by Rowley. Amendment carried. <br />4 ayes <br />(McCarty voted no) 1 nay <br />The main motion failed because of the <br />amendment. Council concurred that <br />this issue should be resolved by the <br />January 3, 1980 meeting. <br />Forslund stated that she felt Machmeier <br />had done what the City directed. <br />Rowley stated that the Council had not <br />authorized the wet basement project. <br />The Council reviewed the minutes from <br />December 5, 1979, the Canvassing Board <br />election results. The Administrator <br />and the City Attorney suggested some <br />amendments to the minutes. After <br />agreeing to the minutes amendmented, <br />the Mayor moved to adopt the Minutes of <br />December 5, 1979. Forslund seconded <br />the motion. <br />There was some discussion whether the <br />Council should adopt the minutes because <br />it might prejudice other pending court <br />case on the special election. Both the <br />Attorney and the Administrator assured the <br />Council that the minutes were necessary. <br />This resulted in a withdrawal of a tabling <br />motion. <br />6. MINUTES APPROVAL <br />
