MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Special Meeting
Page 4 December 17, 1979
The December 5, 1979 minutes were approved
as amended.
4 ayes
0 nays
(Hodges abstained 1
since he had not
attended that meeting)
The City Engineer, Dan Boxrud, reported
on the feasibility of a water main
project on Silver Lake Road, North of
County Road I. The project appears to
be feasible but, not practical.
Mayor McCarty moved to set a Public
Hearing on January 14, 1980 at 7:40 p.m. to
be developed under M.S. 429. Ziebarth
seconded the motion which carried.
5 ayes
0 nays
The Director of Parks and Recreation and
the Building Official updated the Council
on the status of Silverview Park
acquisition. The Staff wanted to get
Council reaction to the following
items:
1) The developer wanted to develop
the property under PUD.
2) The Staff and the developer
believe that their plans are
consistent with the City's
Comprehensive Plan.
3) The City Staff and developer agree
on the general interior road plan.
4) The City Staff believes that major
issue in the development is drainage
5) The City Staff felt that their are
other environmental issues, primarily
the preservation of trees on the
property.
6) The developer has requested zero
lot lines, the Staff generally agrees.
The Council discussed with the staff the
above mentioned issue and generally agreed.
The Council emphasized that the Staff should
move slowly and within legal framework of the
codes and signed contracts.
Mayor McCarty moved to allow the Staff continue
with the project and granted conceptual
approval of the Silverview Park Plan and
development.
Rowley seconded the motion which carried.
