MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Special Meeting
Page 5 December 17, 1979
Anderson raised an issue with the Council
concerning rink maintenance. He noted that
the present schedule was a problem because
of the manpower available. The Council
agreed in concept with a proposal
to prioritize the maintenance on the City
rinks.
The Attorney noted that the City would be
in Court on the 19th of December at 9:30 a.m.
in Room 845, Ramsey Court House.
The City Council had some general discussion
on the City Charter. The most significant
part of the discussion centered on the
drafting and adoption of the ordinance on
public improvements and special assessments.
The Attorney felt that the City had 60 days
to submit the proposed ordinance to the
Council for their consideration and action.
Rowley reported to the Council on a meeting
with Commissioner Orth regarding Lakeside
Park. She stated that the County would be
interested in the acquisition of the Park.
The Administrator alerted to the Council
that their was an apparent sewer main break
on the County road known as Silver Lake
Road, between Woodcrest Drive and Woodale
Drive. No action was requested nor was any
taken.
The Council took no action on developing a
resolution on the proposed alternative to
Highway 10. The Council did receive a memo
from the Mayor outlining the City Council's
post action on this matter (12- 13 -79).
The Council was asked to make an appointment
to the Youth Service Bureau. Councilmember
Hodges appointment had expired, but agreed to
reappointment.
The Mayor called for any other business
before the Council.
