Staff recommended approval. <br />McCarty moved to approve licenses for CEDO <br />Builders, as presented by the Building & <br />Zoning Official. It was seconded by <br />Forslund. <br />5 ayes <br />The motion carried. 0 nays <br />LICENSE REQUEST FOR CEDO BUILDERS <br />Nelson explained that the City had opened 6. ADMINISTRATOR REPORTS <br />bids for repair of the sewer break on a. Silver Lake Road <br />Silver Lake Road on December 28, 1979. Sewer Break <br />Bids have been received from Orfei & Sons <br />and C. W. Houle. Orfei & Sons appears to <br />be the lower bidders and it is recommended <br />the contract be awarded to them beginning <br />January 4, 1980. It is requested that a <br />County Engineer /Inspector be on site in the <br />event any changes are necessary at the time, <br />as there may be liability on the part of <br />the County. The bid is considered for <br />unit price, not lump sum at the bottom. <br />In addition to Orfei's bid will be the <br />cost of bituminous application which was <br />not included in their bid. Nelson has <br />reviewed the financing with a bond consultant. <br />Rowley moved, based on information supplied, <br />(see attached memos from City Engineer, <br />Public Works Dept. and City Administrator) <br />that an emergency situation existed relative <br />to a sewer main break located between Wood - <br />crest and Wooddale on Silver Lake Road. <br />The action of the Staff in soliciting bid <br />proposals for the correction of this <br />emergency situation is hereby ratified by <br />the Council. It was seconded by Forslund. <br />The motion carried. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Ziebarth moved to award a contract to correct <br />the emergency situation described in the <br />abovementioned motion and to authorize the <br />entrance into a contract by the Mayor and <br />City Administrator with the apparent low <br />bidder, Orfei & Sons, per unit price, <br />$27,007.78.
