MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting
Page 5 March 10, 1980
The official newspaper, but most
likely would appear in the following
edition. (Note to the Reader;the City
Charter requires that Ordinance be
published at least one and will
not go into affect for at least thirty
(30) days after that publication or
longer, depending on the language con-
tained in the Ordinance.
The Administrator noted that under his
reports would be the first Quarterly
Reports from the Department Heads.
Scheduled for the evening were the
Finance Director /Treasurer, Public
Works Superintendent and the Building
& Zoning Official. Nelson stated that
the Finance Director was home ill and
would be unable to attend this parti-
cular meeting and asked to be re-
scheduled to the 24th of March. With
that the Superintendent of Public Works
proceeded to give his report on the
Public Works Department.
Superintendent organized his report
based on operational organization of
the department. He noted that the
department was organized into streets,
water, sewer, and garage maintenance
section. He noted to the Council that
the City had done very well in the
snowplowing due to the lack of snow,
however, was concerned about the price
of fuel. A question that was raised
both by Council and the public was over
the cleaning of the Storm Sewers. The
Superintendent stated that the City
crews would be working on that as soon
as practicable.
The Building & Zoning Administrator gave
his report next, stating what he felt
the department and the Planning Commis-
sion would be achieving during the year
1980. Rose also noted that he would be
attending a MAC Meeting on Wednesday,
March 12th.
11. ADMINIS.TRATOR'S REPORT
