MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting
March 24, 1980 Page 3
Anderson next highlighted what he felt
would be accomplished in the second
quarter of 1980.
First and foremost would be the four
public hearings that have been scheduled
to inform the public about the material
contained in the Comprehensive Park Plan.
He also felt that the major items
contained in Silver View Park would be
negotiated and further that the land
exchange will take place by June of 1980.
Anderson also noted that the Forestry
portion of his department would be
continuing its planning program, which
had been started in years past. He
reminded the City Council that festivi-
ties in the park would occur on July 20th
of this year.
The Director stated to the City Council
that negotiations were underway with
the County with regard to acquisition
of Lakeside Park. He indicated, however,
that it probably would not be acquired
until the end of the summer. Mr. Anderson
was discussing with an individual the
possibility of another intern for the
Spring and Summer from the University of
Wisconsin. Bruce expressed to the
Council that he felt that the City was
still short in manpower with regard to
Park Maintenance, and this would be a
matter the Council should keep in mind
for both the summer and the 1981
budget.
Finally he stated that the next news-
letter would go out a little bit later
than originally planned in order to
insure the completion of the Park
Comprehensive Plan and that notice
could be given in that document.
Brager followed a similar format as
the Park & Recreation Director had, by
telling the City Council what happened
this quarter and what would happen in
the next quarter with regards to his
department.
6. FINANCE DIRECTOR'S REPORT
