MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL Regular Meeting
March 24, 1980 Page 8
Rowley moved that Staff be authorized
to hire temporary help in the Senior
Accounting position until such time as
a permanent employee was selected.
Hodges seconded the motion.
4 ayes
The motion carried. 0 nays
Staff was directed to prepare addition-
al material to justify the upgrading of
the position and to determine the
impact of that upgraded position on the
City's Budget.
Discussion ensued with the City Council
about the potential having a Special
Council Meeting to discuss both the
vacancy /upgraded position and the
Administrative Code. Rowley moved that City
Council hold a Special Session on March 31,
1980 at 6:30 PM, which was seconded by Hodges.
4 ayes
The motion carried. 0 nays
Rose reviewed the background of 19. SILVER VIEW PARK /OAK LAKE
Silver View'Park /Oak Lake Park Develop- PARK
ment with the City Council. He
described the concept within the
development of use of a sketch map,
which described both land use and
general area size.
First question that was presented by
the City Council was whether or not the
size and depth of lake was more than
was necessary to satisfy the City's
Standards. Rose deferred to the City
Engineer to explain the report that
was produced by Sunde, the Devel-
oper's Hydrologist, and the City's
Engineer's reaction to that report.
Dan Boxrud noted that the lake for
drainage basin, more than satisfied
the requirements of 983. However,
the question that the Engineer raised
was whether or not the recreational
value would be achieved by the report
submitted by Sunde, or rather addi-
tional material would be needed to be
removed to meet the expectation of
that Park and Recreation Commission.
