MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL <br />Special Meeting <br />Page 2 March 31, 1980 <br />After some general questions of the <br />Council on this subject, the Mayor <br />asked for a motion for or against. <br />Hodges moved to advertise for the <br />position of City Accountant for a <br />salary range not to exceed the amount <br />of $16,000 per year. Ziebarth seconded <br />the motion. <br />The motion carried. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />The Administrator informed the <br />Council that he had the Superinten- <br />dent evaluate the proposed April 26th <br />date for Clean -Up -Day. The Superin- <br />tendent felt this was the best period <br />for that activity. <br />Rowley moved that the City's Annual <br />Clean -Up -Day be held on April 26th <br />and if the weather was inclement it <br />would be held on May 3rd. Ziebarth <br />seconded the motion. <br />The motion carried. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />Staff was directed to draft a procla- <br />mation on this subject. <br />Brager provided the Council with <br />background information how the City <br />insurance program is handled and <br />managed by his department. He also <br />informed them that, although the <br />insurance (liability) is coming due <br />on May 1st, that the City doesn't <br />have to go out for bids. <br />He noted that an insurance provider <br />had written each of the Council about <br />a proposal. He wanted to know what <br />the Council wanted the Staff to do <br />concerning this matter. The Council <br />told Staff to resolve the matter, by <br />having him submit his proposal to the <br />director to allow him to evaluate the <br />proposal. <br />4. CLEAN -UP DAY <br />5.
