MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCII, Special Meeting <br />April 14, 1980 Page <br />Mayor McCarty noted that the City had <br />not completely adjusted Nelson's wages in <br />1979. The City should correct the pay <br />periods between December 4, 1979 to <br />December 31, 1979. The rate would be <br />the same as adjusted in January, 1980. <br />The Mayor moved to authorize the <br />adjustment of Nelson's wages for the <br />period, December 4 - 31, 1979 to a <br />rate equal to that established at the <br />annual meeting in January, 1980. Hodges <br />seconded the motion. <br />The motion carried. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />6. WAGE ADJUSTMENT <br />The Mayor suggested the following for 7. SEVERANCE PAY <br />severance pay for Nelson: all accrued <br />vacation, sick leave and two weeks upon <br />completion of the last day worked. <br />The Mayor moved the above as a motion. <br />Ziebarth seconded the motion. <br />The motion carried. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays <br />The Mayor requested a Special Meeting 8. SPECIAL MEETING <br />at 5:30 P.M. on April 17th. The APRIL 17th <br />purpose of the meeting was to discuss <br />the position of an Acting Clerk- Adminis- <br />trator. <br />Mayor moved the Special Meeting as <br />described above. It was seconded by <br />Hodges. <br />The motion carried. <br />4 ayes <br />1 nays <br />(Ziebarth voted nay because he felt <br />he could not attend the meeting). <br />The Mayor requested the Status of the <br />negotiations for the 1980 Union Contract. <br />Nelson stated that the City had not <br />settled. However, checks would be <br />prepared for back pay from Jan. 1, 1980 <br />for the membership at the Light Equip- <br />ment Operator date. <br />9. UNION CONTRACT <br />
