PUBLIC HEARING <br />1981 PROPOSED BUDGET <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />October 7, 1980 <br />The public hearing was called to order at <br />7:30 p.m. by Mayor McCarty in the Mounds <br />View City Hall Council Chambers. <br />Members Present - Councilmembers Forslund, <br />Rowley, Ziebarth, Hodges and Mayor McCarty. <br />Staff Present - Clerk - Administrator Pauley <br />and Finance Director Brager. <br />Mayor McCarty explained salary discrepancy <br />and indicated 12.5% would be necessary <br />which would result in a net increase of <br />$374,017.50. <br />Mayor McCarty reviewed proposed budget <br />changes as summarized by a staff memo <br />of October 7, 1980. <br />Council entered into general discussion <br />regarding budget and proposed changes. <br />Councilmember Rowley made a motion, seconded <br />by Ziebarth, to adopt budget as presented <br />by staff with changes as itemized in <br />October 6 memo from the Finance Director <br />exclusive of the Revenue Sharing Fund. <br />Ayes - Hodges, Rowley, Ziebarth <br />Nays - Forslund, McCarty <br />Rowley made a motion, seconded by Ziebarth, <br />to adopt Resolution No. 1168 - Resolution <br />Adopting the 1981 City Operating Budget. <br />Ayes - Hodges, Rowley, Ziebarth <br />Nays - McCarty, Forslund <br />Hodges made a motion, seconded by Ziebarth, <br />to adopt Resolution No. 1169 - Resolution <br />Certifying the 1981 General and Forestry <br />Funds Property Tax Levies. <br />Ayes - Forslund, Rowley, Hodges, Ziebarth <br />Nays - McCarty <br />Date Approved: 10 -27 -80 <br />1.
