MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL December 8, 1980 <br />Regular Meeting Page Three <br />the code be revised to read: Not less than <br />30 feet from lot line if lot is on corner, <br />and on interior lot lines a 5 foot setback on <br />the garage side for the garage structure and <br />the driveway surface is allowed." <br />Mayor McCarty asked if there were any comments <br />or questions from the audience or Council. <br />There was no response. <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED AT 7:49 P.M. <br />THE REGULAR MEETING RE- OPENED AT 7:49 P.M. <br />Council directed staff to prepare the necessary <br />ordinance regarding the Code 40.05, Subd. C (b) <br />for the first reading at the next Council meeting. <br />Mayor McCarty asked that Items A and C be removed <br />from the consent agenda. <br />MOTION: Rowley made a motion, seconded by <br />Forslund, to adopt the consent agenda (excluding <br />Items A & C) and to waive the reading of the <br />resolutions. <br />Ayes -4 <br />Nays -0 <br />THE MOTION IS CARRIED. <br />8. APPROVAL OF <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Item A: Mayor McCarty expressed a concern about approving <br />this resolution because the Rice Creek Watershed District <br />recently made a decision to create a task force on this <br />particular issue. Clerk - Administrator Pauley stated that <br />the resolution could still be adopted because the Council °s <br />position on the proposed amendments remained in opposition <br />of its contents regardless of the outcome of the task force. <br />MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Rowley, to <br />approve Resolution No. 1197 (opposing proposed amendments <br />to the rules and regulations of the Rice Creek Watershed <br />District). <br />Ayes -4 <br />Nays -0 <br />THE MOTION CARRIED. <br />Item B: <br />MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Forslund to delay <br />action on Resolutions 1199, 1200, 1201, and 1202 until <br />the Council discussed Item #12 on the agenda: First Reading <br />
