MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL December 22, 1980 <br />Regular Meeting Page Two <br />Corrections: <br />Forslund: The date for the city dinner <br />should read "March 28th" instead of <br />March 21st. <br />MOTION: Forslund made a motion, seconded <br />by Rowley, to approve the corrected <br />minutes of December 8, 1980. <br />Ayes -4 <br />Nays -0 <br />Abstentions -1 (Ziebarth -was absent at this <br />meeting) <br />THE MOTION CARRIED. <br />There were no comments from the audience. <br />Mayor McCarty added an Item #0 to the consent <br />agenda: Resolution #1220 (A memo dated 11 -26 -80 <br />from Bruce Anderson, Park and Recreation Director, <br />referring to cost needs of repairs in some of <br />the city parks.) <br />Mayor McCarty asked to have Item #D removed. <br />Councilmember Ziebarth asked to have Item #J <br />removed. <br />MOTION: Rowley made a motion, seconded by <br />Forslund, to approve the consent agenda with <br />the inclusion of Item #0 (Resolution #1220) <br />and the exclusion of Items D & J. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 <br />THE MOTION CARRIED. <br />Mayor McCarty noted that the equalization of <br />salaries for city staff, effective 10/10/80, <br />resulted in a 12.5% increase instead of the <br />previously discussed 10.4% due to an error in <br />calculation. Because of this factor, Resolution <br />#1215 indicated there would be no merit increases <br />to any non - classified positions in the City of <br />Mounds View (except in the cases of probationary <br />reviews, promotions, or new hires) during the <br />fiscal year 1981. <br />5.
