MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL <br />Regular Meeting <br />January 12, 1981 <br />Page Two <br />The Council discussed the issue of density <br />versus demand of service as well as where <br />the east /west or north /south rezonings of <br />R -1 to R -2 were going. The Council agreed <br />they would like to have the Planning Com- <br />mission define the comprehensive plan on <br />this issue and to meet with the Council for <br />discussion of this issue. <br />AMENDMENT TO THE MAIN MOTION: Mayor McCarty <br />made a motion, seconded by Doty to continue <br />the public hearing on the rezoning request <br />from R1 to R2 for 2415 County Road I (Mr. <br />Donald Spagenski) on March 23, 1981, at 7:40 P.M. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />MAIN MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded <br />by Blanchard, to table this request from <br />Mr. Donald Spagenski (to rezone R1 to R2 for <br />the property on 2415 County Road I) until <br />recommendation from the Planning Commission <br />on the subject of R1 to R2 conversions within <br />the low density description as given in the <br />comprehensive plan could be provided. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />REGULAR MEETING CLOSED: 8:06 PoMo <br />PUBLIC HEARING OPENED: 8:06 P.M. <br />Building and Zoning Official Rose reviewed the <br />request from Mr. Gregory A. Johnson, 2848 Highway 10, <br />to locate in a portion of an existing building and <br />use for purpose of conducting a business of cleaning <br />and repairing radiators. <br />On 12/10/80, the Planning Commission made a <br />motion to recommend to the City Council that a <br />joint conditional use permit be issued for the <br />property involved. The conditions for approval <br />would include the existing area and frontage, curb <br />cut, parking spaces, and setback conditions subject <br />to reviewal of the use permit should problems arise. <br />The permit would specifically include closing off one <br />garage door and improving the screening.
