MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL January 12, 1981 <br />Regular Meeting Page Six <br />MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by <br />Forslund to combine Agenda Items 9 and 10 <br />(recommendation for employment of receptionist <br />and consideration of temporary help for <br />accountant's leave of absence) because they <br />both relate to hiring of personnel. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />Mayor McCarty noted to the Council that he <br />felt, because of the decrease in the amount <br />of building permit requests, that the current <br />building and zoning secretary could perform <br />the receptionist duties also. There was <br />some discussion between Council and Clerk - <br />Administrator Pauley whether this could be <br />accomplished well. It was decided to <br />continue this discussion at next week's agenda <br />session. <br />MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by <br />Doty, to table the hiring of the receptionist <br />and accountant. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />The Council recessed for a break at 8:50 P.M. <br />The Council re- convened at 9:10 P.M. <br />Clerk- Administrator read Ordinance No. 300 <br />(Amending the Municipal Code of Mounds View by <br />Amending Chapter 40, "Zoning "). There was no <br />discussion by Council. <br />MOTION: Doty made a motion, seconded by Blanchard, <br />to adopt Ordinance 300 (Amending the Municipal Code <br />of Mounds View by Amending Chapter 40, "Zoning ".) <br />Ayes- Hodges, Forslund, Blanchard, Doty, McCarty <br />Nays -0 <br />MOTION CARRIED. <br />This ordinance will take effect 30 days after date <br />of publication. <br />10.
