DATE APPROVED: 02/09/81 <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Regular Meeting <br />January 26, 1981 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Hwy. lO,Mounds View City Hall <br />The Mounds View City Council was called to <br />order at 7:30 P.M. on January 26, 1981, by <br />Mayor McCarty. <br />Members present: Hodges, Forslund, Blanchard, <br />Doty, McCarty <br />Others present: City Attorney Meyers, Clerk - <br />Administrator Pauley, and Building & Zoning <br />Official Rose. <br />Mayor McCarty read a proclamation setting <br />aside the week of February 1 -8 as "Spina <br />Bifida Week in Mounds View ". The Sno- Mounties <br />of Mounds View will be raising funds to supply <br />braces, wheelchairs, ramps and other usable <br />equipment to be shared in the Spina Bifida <br />Loaner Library. They will be educating the <br />public on this disease by distributing litera- <br />ture and will also conduct a Fund Drive <br />Marathon on February 8th. <br />Mayor McCarty presented members of the Brownie <br />Troop No. 1530 to the Council and the audience. <br />He then read Resolution No. 1234 (resolution of <br />appreciation to Mounds View Brownie Troop #1530 <br />for participating in distributing yellow ribbons <br />to residents of Mounds View honoring the 52 <br />American diplomats held hostage in Iran). Mayor <br />McCarty personally thanked each Brownie member <br />for their individual contributions toward remembering <br />the hostages during the Christmas Season of 1980. <br />MOTION: Hodges made a motion, seconded by Forslund, <br />to approve the minutes of January 5, 1981 (special <br />meeting). <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />1.
