MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL January 26, 1981 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director Anderson <br />presented a summary of his January 22, 1981, memo <br />to the Council listing the process involved in <br />the Mounds View Parks and Recreation Commission's <br />final recommendation for a consultant to complete <br />the Master Plan project for Silver View Park. <br />They are recommending Saunders /Thalden and Associates <br />to the Council. <br />MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Hodges, <br />to recommend the firm of Saunders /Thalden and <br />Associates to provide Phase One Master Park Plans <br />for Silver View Park and directed staff to nego- <br />tiate a formal contract with Saunders /Thalden and <br />Associates not to exceed $6,500.00. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Director Anderson <br />distributed copies of the bids specifications for <br />publishing the six city newsletters (along with a <br />copy of the cover letter that will be sent to the <br />18 -20 bidders) to the Council. Anderson stated <br />that by implementinga more controlled bidding pro- <br />cess, the costs of printing would decrease as well <br />as obtaining final budget control. <br />MOTION: McCarty made a motion, seconded by Forslund, <br />to Director Anderson to continue with the bidding <br />process for the city newsletter as presented to the <br />Council this evening. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />The Council recessed at 8:15 P.M. <br />The Council reconvened at 8:35 P.M. <br />MOTION: Forslund made a motion, seconded by Doty, <br />that the Council has received a draft of the Wetlands <br />Map via the Ramsey County Soil and Water Conservation <br />District. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />10.
