MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL February 9, 1981 <br />Regular Meeting <br />Page 4 <br />City Engineer Boxrud reviewed his re- <br />commendations to fill the ditch between <br />Scotland Green apartments and Long Lake <br />Road and placing a storm sewer within the <br />new easement per the Council's request <br />(letter to Council dated 2-4-81). <br />MOTION: Doty made a motion, seconded <br />by Blanchard to direct city staff to <br />contact the Wilmus Properties, Inc. <br />and Kraus/Anderson to discuss the Scotland <br />Green storm sewer facility study and to <br />report back to Council. <br />Ayes-3 Nays-0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />Administrator Pauley reviewed his comments <br />from his 2-2-81 memo to the Council on the <br />MC/MAC proposed land use compatability <br />planning guidelines. The next meeting is <br />scheduled for Wednesday at 10:00 (The Mayor, <br />Councilmember Forslund, and Administrator <br />Pauley will be attending). <br />Attorney Meyers noted that the city has <br />registered opposition to the County Board's <br />proposal to amend the current court law <br />allowing suburban court systems. The Board <br />is proposing to eliminate most of the sub- <br />urban courts. Police Chief Grabowski noted <br />the financial burden for staffing and pay- <br />roll that would result from officers required <br />to go long distances to appear in court cases. <br />10. He recommended assigning another person <br />to attend the Waste Management Board meetings Report <br />with him to allow additional input from Mounds View. <br />The Council's position on this subject will be <br />discussed at the next agenda session. <br />2. He would like a written response to <br />the memo regarding the MTC Park/Ride Facilities <br />proposal from the Council. (He is also obtaining <br />one from the Planning Commission). <br />
