DATE APPROVED: 03 -23 -81 <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Special Meeting and <br />Regular Meeting <br />March 9, 1981 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Hwy. 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />The Mounds View City Council was called to <br />order at 6:58 p.m., for a Special Meeting, <br />on March 9, 1981, by Mayor McCarty. <br />1. Call to Order <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Blanchard, Doty, Hodges, 2. Roll Call <br />Forslund, and Mayor McCarty. <br />OTHERS PRESENT: City Attorney Meyers, Clerk - <br />Administrator Pauley, and Building and Zoning <br />Official Rose. <br />Mayor McCarty stated that the purpose of this 3. Discussion of Ordinance <br />meeting was to discuss Ordinance #301 with the #301 with City Attorney <br />City Attorney. Meyers <br />City Attorney Meyers advised the Council that <br />Ordinance #301 was adopted under authority <br />granted by Minnesota Statute 462.355 and <br />indicated to the City Council that the impact <br />of Ordinance #301 could be the denial of all <br />subdivision and building permit requests for <br />property identified in Exhibit A of Ordinance. <br />#301. City Attorney Meyers also advised the <br />Council that Minnesota Statutes 462.365 which <br />relates to 1980 laws, Chapter 566 and provides <br />specific rights to the City and property <br />owners regarding the timing of certain issues <br />in the subdivision process. City Attorney <br />Meyers recommended that the City Council <br />elect to not come into compliance with 1980 <br />laws, Chapter 566 at this time. <br />Doty made a motion, seconded by Forslund, that <br />the City elect not to come into compliance with <br />1980 laws, Chapter 566, as cited in Minnesota <br />Statutes 462.365 until such time as modifica- <br />tions are made to the City Subdivision <br />Ordinance. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />MEETING RECESSED: 7:12 p.m. <br />REGULAR MEETING OPENED: 7:30 p.m. <br />The Mounds View City Council was re- called <br />to order at 7:30 p.m. on March 9, 1981, for <br />4.
