MOUNDS VIEW CITY COUNCIL March 9, 1981 <br />Special and Regular Meeting Page Eight <br />Forslund: She noted some of the Planning <br />Commission Agenda items from their February 4, <br />1981 meeting. Among the items noted were the <br />MnDOT proposal, review of Shorewood's <br />Comprehensive Plan, and their approval of the <br />final draft of the Housing Plan. <br />Mayor McCarty: He noted that Irondale High <br />School has entered the State Hockey Tournament <br />for their 3rd year in a row. Mayor McCarty <br />instructed Clerk- Administrator Pauley to post <br />a notice on the bulletin board, and to also <br />put together a resolution or proclamation <br />for the team. <br />Clerk- Administrator Pauley noted a telephone <br />call from State Senator Don Frank regarding a <br />consensus of the Council for a possible 4% <br />gasoline tax increase. <br />Clerk- Administrator Pauley noted that Parks, <br />Recreation and Forestry Director Anderson had <br />requested approval of the 1981 Forestry Contract <br />for tree removal and set the bid opening <br />for 10:00 a.m., March 27, 1981. <br />MOTION: Councilmember Doty made a motion, <br />seconded by Hodges to approve the 1981 Forestry <br />Contract for tree removal and set the bid <br />opening for 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 27, 1981. <br />Ayes -5 <br />Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. <br />Clerk- Administrator Pauley noted that there is <br />trouble with the sewer line on Quincy. He <br />noted the located of where there had been <br />a drop in the pavement, and that today there <br />had been a drop of 12 feet. He said that a <br />televising crew had gone out today to televise <br />the line. He noted that Lift Station #5 is <br />pumping sand. He further noted that Dan Boxrud <br />would be talking with the Metropolitan Waste <br />Control Commission regarding a tie into their <br />gravity main. He said that the meeting with <br />the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission <br />would be held either late on Wednesday or on <br />Thursday of this week. He said that he would <br />call the Council by Thursday, and that a special <br />meeting may be called at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, <br />March 12, 1981 to discuss this issue. <br />16.
