MOTION: Mayor McCarty made a motion, seconded by Hodges to approve Resolution No. 1252, Item G of the Consent Agenda. Ayes -4 Nays -0 MOTION CARRIED. Finance Director Brager passed out a memo to 11. the Council regarding the employment of a high - school student during the accountant's leave of absence. He discussed the memoran- dum. He said that the high - school coordin- ator had given him a list of 11 interested student, and that the accounting teachers had narrowed the list down to 4 students which were interviewed. He said that he feels that this position could be too much responsibility for a high - school student and that another alternative could be to use a temporary help agency. MOTION: Mayor McCarty made a motion, seconded by Doty to authorize Clerk /Administrator Pauley to hire an accountant from a temporary service agency and that the costs of the temporary accountant not exceed the budgeted amount for that position without prior consent of the Council being obtained.
