Mounds View City Council June 8, 1981 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and re- <br />opened the regular meeting at 8:32 PM. <br />Motion /Second: Doty /Hodges to deny the proposal <br />of rezoning from R -1 to R -3. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Doty stated that his motion was <br />based on the information received from Staff, <br />the Planning Commission's recommendations, and <br />comments from citizens. <br />Councilmember Forslund stated she based her <br />decision on Resolution No. 24 -81. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and <br />opened the public hearing for the rezoning <br />request of Roger Lammi, at 8:35 PM. <br />Mayor McCarty stated it was not necessary 10. Rezoning for Roger <br />to have a Staff report as the Council was Lammi, 7980 Groveland <br />familiar with the request. Road <br />Donald Gross, 8060 Groveland Road, stated <br />he was against the rezoning as the City did <br />not need another place such as the Whirlpool <br />dealer on Highway 10 who stores washing <br />machines in his parking lot. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and <br />reopened the regular meeting at 8:37 PM. <br />Motion /Second: Doty /Forslund to deny the <br />rezoning request of Roger Lammi, from R -1 <br />to B -1, on the basis of the recommendations <br />from the Planning Commission, Resolution <br />No. 15 -81 and minutes from the Planning <br />Commission. <br />5 ayes <br />0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and <br />opened the public hearing for the Cable TV <br />request at 8:39 PM. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley explained that <br />approximately one year ago the City had <br />joined with nine other communities in forming <br />the North Suburban Cable Commission, and that <br />very good progress had been made to date. He <br />added that the public hearing was the second <br />step in the process required by the State <br />Cable Board. <br />11.
