Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />lerk /Administrator Pauley reported that the <br />electrical connection had not yet been com- <br />pleted and that the bill before the Council <br />reflected only the engineering costs. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Blanchard to approve <br />the bill submitted by Short - Elliott- Hendrickson <br />for services rendered on the Quincy Street <br />sewer main repair. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Hodges to set August <br />18, 1981 as a special park bond referendum <br />election for 1.4 million dollars with a <br />$50,000 park maintenance addendum, and approve <br />Resolution No. 1329, and waive the reading. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />"lerk /Administrator Pauley read a memo received <br />rom the Fire Chief regarding unsafe warming <br />douses. <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Doty to direct Staff to <br />update the information on the cost of bringing <br />the buildings into compliance, to be presented <br />at the July 20, 1981 agenda session. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion /Second: McCarty /Hodges to authorize <br />Staff to commence the preparation of bid <br />specifications for the equipment as outlined <br />with the understanding that the bids be pre- <br />sented back to the City Council for their <br />perusal at the July 27, 1981 Council Meeting. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Blanchard expressed concern with <br />the amount of money that was going to be spent <br />and whether the equipment was really necessary. <br />Park Director Anderson replied that the Park <br />Department is very deficient in equipment at <br />'zis time, and reviewed the need for the equip - <br />ent.
