Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />November 24, 1981 <br />Page Six <br />otion /Second: McCarty /Forslund to approve the <br />tEhe adoption or Ordinance No. 310 and waive the <br />reading. <br />Councilmember Blanchard - aye <br />Councilmember Doty - aye <br />Councilmember Forslund - aye <br />Mayor McCarty - aye <br />Official Rose explained to the Council that <br />while exceptions do occur, Staff is trying <br />its very best to enforce the code. Clerk/ <br />Administrator Pauley pointed out that many <br />of the violations have occurred because the <br />property owner made a change and never came <br />into the City for a building permit or <br />whatever was required, and it came to the <br />attention of Staff after the fact. <br />^ttorney Meyers was absent. <br />Councilmember Blanchard stated she had <br />received several calls regarding the <br />radiator repair shop in her neighborhood <br />and asked if anything had been done yet. <br />Official Rose replied that a citation <br />will be delivered on November 25, as he <br />is in violation of the sign ordinance. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported she had <br />attended the Ramsey County League meeting <br />the previous week, but due to the bad <br />weather, the Legislators had not attended. <br />Councilmember Doty reviewed a report from <br />the previous City auditors, showing how <br />Mounds View compares with 19 other suburban <br />cities in the cost of government per capita. <br />Mounds View was rated extremely well in all <br />areas. <br />Councilmember Forslund reported she had <br />received many complaints of snowmobilers. <br />Clerk /Administrator Pauley replied that, <br />zfortunately, not much can be done to <br />pprehend them, but a notice was published <br />in the last newsletter, with another going <br />in the forthcoming newsletter.
