RESOLUTION 7830 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING A LAYOUT CONFIGURATION FOR ON-STREET PARKING <br /> AT LAMBERT PARK <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 7176 on October 22, 2007 <br /> establishing the Street and Utility Improvement Program (Program), which includes nine <br /> Street and Utility Improvement Projects identified as Areas A through I; and <br /> WHEREAS, Lambert Avenue is located in Area D of the Program and there is a <br /> need for on-street parking for Lambert Park upon demolition of the parking lot and <br /> reconstruction of a new park shelter; and <br /> WHEREAS, various options for the layout configuration for striping of the bump-out, <br /> on-street parking on Lambert Avenue has been reviewed and discussed between City staff, <br /> Street and Utilities Committee (Committee), and Parks and Recreation and Forestry <br /> Commission (Commission) since design engineering began in 2010; and <br /> WHEREAS, three different recommendations have been made that include 60- <br /> degree reverse angle parking (RAP) by the Committee, 60-degree angled parking by the <br /> Commission, and 90-degree perpendicular parking by City staff; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that 90-degree perpendicular parking is <br /> the best option for the on-street parking layout configuration. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The on-street, bump-out parking area located on Lambert Avenue for Lambert Park <br /> shall be furnished and installed as shown on the attached Exhibit A for 90-degree <br /> perpendicular parking. <br /> Adopted this 26th day of September, 20 <br /> .,lee Flahe y`,-Mayor--° <br /> ATTEST: -- <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br />
