RESOLUTION NO. 7896 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A 2013 FORD POLICE INTERCEPTOR SEDAN <br /> SQUAD CAR <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department maintains a replacement schedule <br /> of police vehicles to ensure that the police department is properly equipped to provide <br /> emergency response to its citizens, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department planned and budgeted for the <br /> replacement of one squad car in 2012 at $23,000 plus equipment and setup costs of$6,000 <br /> and; <br /> WHEREAS, Nelson Auto Center in Fergus Falls has been awarded the state bid <br /> contract for the 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan at an approximate cost of$23,417 and; <br /> WHEREAS, a 2008 police squad car will be designated for sale at a future auction <br /> administered by the Admin Minnesota State Surplus Services. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to authorize the purchase of one 2013 Ford Police <br /> Interceptor Sedan at an approximate cost of$23,417, plus setup costs of approximately <br /> $6000 and to sell one old squad car being replaced through the Admin Minnesota State <br /> Surplus Services Auction. <br /> Adopted this 13th day of February 2012 <br /> oe Fla`Y�ierfji; <br /> ATTEST: J G�►'rt.P.O �%�-�- <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
