I <br />1 <br />, � <br />� <br />,� � <br />, <br />MOUNDS VICW PLANNING COMIVIISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 538-98 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF l��IINNTSOTA <br />A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF ORDINANCE 614, AN <br />ORDINANCE APPROVING THE REZONING OF PROPERTIES LOCATED AT <br />2625 HIGHWAY 10 AND 7715-7761 EASTWOOD ROAD FROM R-3, MEDIUM <br />DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, AND R-1, SINGLE FAlV�Y RESIDENTIAL, <br />TO B-2, LIlVIITED BUSINESS DISTRICT; <br />PLANNING CASE NO. 507-97. <br />WHEREAS, TOLD Development Company has applied for a rezoning of the properties <br />located at 2625 Highway 10 and 7715-7761 Eastwood Road from residendal to commercial; and, <br />WHEREAS, the subject properties are describerl as follows: <br />The South % of Lot SI, All of Lot S0, Lot 49 and Lot 78, <br />Spring Lake Park Hillview, Ramsey County, Mannesota <br />WHEREAS, the subject properties form a contiguous tract of land at the northeast corner <br />of the Highway 10 and County Road I, at the fringe of an established residential neighborhood; <br />and, <br />WI�REAS, the proposal would remove four existing single-family homes from the City's <br />housing stock; and, <br />WHEREAS, the rezoning request would not be consistent with the comprehensive plan, <br />which designates the properties as low and high density residential. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission <br />does hereby recommend that the City Council deny Ordinance 614, an ordinance approving the <br />rezoning of properties located at 2625 Highway 10 and 7715-61 Eastwood Road to B-2, Limited <br />Business District. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission directs Staff <br />to forward this Resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minutes. <br />
