1106.03: R -1 ACCESSORY USES: <br />e <br />An item has been added that requires driveways to be improved with a permanent surface, <br />which does not include gravel. <br />An item is added that requires that the area of the garage to not exceed the area <br />(foundation) of the house, except by CUP. <br />The maximum size for a garage without a CUP has been increased to 952 square feet, up <br />from 864. <br />1106.04: R-1 CONDITIONAL USES: <br />The maximum area for all accessory buildings on a lot with a CUP is increased to 1,400 <br />square feet. <br />The requirement that no other accessory building is allowed if the garage exceeds 1,000 <br />square feet has been deleted. <br />1108.03: R -3 ACCESSORY USES: <br />Garages have been added as a permitted accessory use in an R-3 District, the number of which not <br />to exceed the number of dwelling units contained within the principal building. Each garage <br />limited to 250 square feet. <br />1121.09: STALL, AISLE AND DRIVEWAY DESIGN: <br />All driveways and parking areas shall be surfaced with a permanent improved surface, except for <br />R- 1 and R-2 districts, whereby 300 sf of gravel parking area can be constructed in accordance <br />with specifications added in the Code at Section 902.05. Asphalt is considered a permanent <br />surface. The minimum size of a parking stall has been reduced from 9 x 20 to 9 x 18. As a trade- <br />off, the reference to compact car stalls has been deleted. <br />1121.14: CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT PARKING REDUCTION: <br />The title of this subdivision has been changed to read "Proof of Parking." No longer would proof <br />of parking require a CUP, so long as the conditions listed are met. Review and approval by the <br />director of community development unless Council action is required by virtue of a development <br />review. <br />Page 2 <br />
