This moratarrium is set to expire on March �, 1997. The Planning Commission held a <br />special session on October 23, 1996 to discuss tt�is topic at which meeting industry <br />representatives were present �o give short presentations and to answer questions. Staff presented <br />the Catnmission with a draft ordinance �or review on December 4, 1996, which generated <br />additional comments and suggestions. These changes have been incorporated into a revised draft <br />ordinance. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Planning Commission review the attached revised draft of the wireless <br />telecommunications ordinance and make suggestions and or commer�ts as to its conteni and <br />provisions, If the Planning Commission considers the ordinance acceptable, staff recomnnends <br />that the Planning Commission adopt Resoluiion No. 491-96 recommending approval of the <br />ordina.nce to the City Council. <br />An� <br />A number of changes have been made io the proposed ordinance. Any language that 11as been <br />added since the December 4, 1996 meeting is shaded.
