Piarinixig Camtnission Resoluiion 525�97 <br />Engen Variance <br />August 20, i 997 <br />Page 2 <br />�ItEAS, the variance reques�ed is the rrunimum variance which would alleviate the <br />hardship in that a driveway at tl�s width allows for jusi enough room to park two vehicles side by <br />side; and, <br />WHEiZEAS, fihe variance would not be materially deirimentai to �he purpose of ghis TFile <br />or to other properties in the same zone in that permanent surfaces such as cement poses less of �.n <br />er�vironm�ntai impact and is aestheticaIIy more pleasing than gravel, a common temporary parking <br />surface; and, <br />WHEREAS, the propased variance wil1 not impair an adequate supply af Iighi and air to <br />adjacent property or substantialiy increase the congestion of the public streets or increase the <br />danger of fire or endanger the public safety or substantially diminish or impair propecry values <br />wiihin the neighborhood in that the variance reques#ed would allow for the replacement of an old, <br />disiniegratin� asphalt drive with a new aesthetically pleasing cement drive in the same location. <br />NOVJ, THEREFORE, BE IT RE3CDLVED, that the IVlounds View Pianning Commission <br />acting as the Board ofAdjustment and Appeals approves the va�iance request of A.
