This d�velopment <br />was to include the renovation of the existing Red Oak Apartments and the constructia� of 16 new <br />townhouse-styled dwellings on the vacant parceis south oF agartments. Due to tha discovery of <br />another deveiopment opportunity involving the City-owned parcel, the City Councii put on hold <br />the sale of the land until this and any other oppor�unities have been iuliy explared. As a result, <br />MSP ReaI Estate, Inc., the applicant proposing the Silver Lake Commons development, has <br />requested approval of an amended siie pian a.nd minor subdivision that does not inci�ade the City- <br />owned parcel. <br />The amended site plan invoIves the twa vacant parcels between the City's parcel and the <br />apartments, on which a�oial of 10 new two-levei rental townhome-styled dwellin�s would b� <br />constructed, and the R�d Oak Apartments, which MSP would stili renovate. 1Vew hipped�styl� <br />roofs and siding would be added to the apartment beaildin�s ta match the design of th� pr�pos�d <br />townhome units. With the e�cisting 40 apartments, this develapment would be comprised of 50 <br />dwellings on 2.93 acres for a det�sity of 17.0 dwellings per acre.
