Draft Sign Code Revision <br />February 21, 2001 <br />- BUSIlVE55 SIGN: A sign that states the proper na.me of the business, organization or institution <br />located on the premises on wk�ich the sign is located. �No Charzge] <br />CAMPAIGN �IGN: A temporary sign promoting fihe candidacy of a person running for a <br />government office, or promofiing an issue to be voted on at the ne�t election. [Burnsville] <br />CANOPY SIGN: A sign affixed to ihe visible surface of an attached or freestanding canopy <br />struct-ure, often backlit to provide internal iliuznination. For the purposes of sign area computation, <br />canopy signs shall be treated as a wall sign [New] <br />CHANGEABLE COPY SIGN: A sign or portion thereof with characters, Ietters or illustrations that <br />can be changed or rearranged electronically or manuaily without altering the face or the surface of the <br />sign. A sign on which the message changes more than eight tirnes a day shall be considered an <br />animated sign for the purposes of this ordinance.
