MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6b7-Ol <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />CUUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPRUVAL OF A CITY CODE AMENDMENT TO <br />ALLOW ANIMAL BOARDING AS A CONDITIONAL USE IN B-2, LIMITED BUSINESS <br />ZONING DISTRICTS. <br />WHEREAS, The City Code does not currently allow animal boarding within the City of <br />Mounds View; and, <br />WHEREAS, The Maunds View Animal Hospiial has expressed their desire to offer <br />animal boarding at their proposed new facility located at 2625 Couniy Highway 10; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the following documents regarding <br />this proposal: <br />a. Proposed Ordinance No. 685 <br />b. Staff Report <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission finds that the proposed amendment <br />satisfies the conditions outlined in Chapter 1125 of the Zoning Code; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Plaruiing Commission finds that the proposed amendment is <br />not in conflict with the Mounds View Comprehensive Plan; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission finds that animal boarding would not <br />depreciate neighborhoods nor negatively affect the character of surrounding areas within the City of <br />Mounds View if the stipulations required as a conditional use are implemented. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission <br />recornmends approval of an amendment to Section 1113.04 Subdivision 4 and Section 1102.02 of <br />the City Code as depicted in proposed Ordinance 685. <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Mounds View Plaruuiig Commission directs staff <br />to forward this resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minutes. <br />
