Noise and odor are effectively confined to the premises in accordance with Chapter b07 of <br />this Municipal Code, Nuisances. <br />b. The boarding af animals is not provided for beyond hospitalization for surgery, illness or <br />injtuy. <br />c. A mechanical ventilation or exhaust system shall be installed to control, caphue and <br />remove emissions ar odors generated by such use. Such systems shall be sepazate from other <br />ventilation systems in the building. Such system shall be designed to prevent the migration <br />of emissions or odors to other parts of the building: Installation must comply with Minnesota <br />Building Code Mechanical Systems, chapter 1345. (Ord. 441, 5-23-88) <br />This section can be amended to allow animal boarding if the Planning Commission feels animal <br />boarding is an appropriate use in B-2 zoning districts. As discussed at the July 18 Planning <br />Commission meeting, it may also be appropriate to include additional requirements for animal <br />boarding facilities. Staff has reviewed State Statutes and ordinances of other cities in the Twin Cities <br />area to determine what may be appropriate for the City of Mounds View. Surprisingly, very few <br />specific requirements were found, other than provisions regarding the proper caze of animals. Based <br />on the information found, staff recommends the following modifications and additions that the <br />Planning Commission may consider to include in Ordinance 685. <br />Chapter 1113.04 <br />Subd. 4. Veterinary clinics, a� animal clinics, and animal boarding facilities; provided, that: <br />a.
