MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTYON NO. 682-01 <br />� <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A DEVELOPMENT REVIEW AND <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR EDGEWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL; <br />MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING CASES DE01-001 AND CUQl-001. <br />WHEREAS, The applicant, Edgewood Middle School (Tndependent School District <br />621), has applied for a development zeview to construct a 15,669 square foot building expansion <br />and parking lot alteration; and, <br />WHEREAS, Edgewood Middle School is located at 5100 Edgewood Drive, property <br />zoned R-1, Single Family Residential and is legally-described as follows: <br />Subject to road and highway easements, <br />640 feet of south 190 feet, the southeast '/ of <br />southwest'/ of Section 8, Totivnship 30, Range 23 <br />WHEREAS, according to Section 1006.06 of the Mounds View Municipal Code, any new <br />construction or expansion of existing facilities requires the approval of a development review; and, , <br />WHEREAS, the applicant submitted a set of plans, date stamped 11/28/O1, pertaining to <br />the expansion which included a Site Plan, Demolition Plan, Site LayouE Plan, Grading and <br />Drainage Plan, Site Detail Plan, Exterior Elevations, and Interior F1oor Plan, all of which shall <br />collectively be referred to as the "Site Plans;" and, <br />WHEREAS, the expansion will add 15,669 square feet of space to the school as shown <br />on the attached Site Plans; and, <br />WHEREAS, the expansion will remove 23 parking stalls from the existing 101 stalls in <br />the parking lot located on the north side of the building, which still satisfies the City's parking <br />code requirements for a school with 28 classrooms and 600 students; and, <br />WHEREAS, The Public Works Foreman, Community Development Director, Engineering <br />Technician, and Fire Mazshal have reviewed the submitted site plans; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Comrnission has reviewed the following <br />documents regarding this proposal: <br />1.
